*Yoga - every Thursday @ 7pm @ Lynette, Julie, and Lisa's place. Bring water and yoga mat if you have one, and wear comfy clothes. This is a great way to relax after a stressful day!
*Tuesday, Feb. 2nd - "New FamilySearch 101" @ 7pm @ Amanda's place. This is going to be a monthly "open house" style workshop, where you can come/go as you please. We can work on registering, useful resources, troubleshooting, and becoming more familiar with the program. Bring any questions you have and a laptop if you have one.
*Wednesday, Feb. 10th - "Easy Valentine's Flower/Candy Bouquets" @ 7pm @ Haley's. This is a great idea for a simple and easy gift for friends, sisters you visit teach, family, teachers, etc. If you'd like to make one, please bring a container (about the size of a 3" clay pot) to put the flower/candy bouquet in.). *Tuesday, Feb. 16th - "Emergency Preparedness: Family Plans" @ 7pm @ the ward. bldg. Spouses are welcome to attend this workshop as well. We'll be discussing/creating family plans.
*Monday, Feb. 22nd - President's Day
*Tuesday, Feb. 23rd - "Food for Thought, Caring, and Sharing" @ 7pm @ the ward bldg. Topic: Getting Creative with Cooking on a Budget. We'll also have a segment devoted to couponing and money-saving strategies at the grocery store as well.
*Thursday, Feb. 25th - Book Club at 7pm at Catherine's. The book for this month is "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan" by Lisa See (which can be found at the library or paperback at a bookstore). This book takes place in nineteenth-century China. "An engrossing and completely convincing portrayal of a woman shaped by suffering forced upon her from her earliest years, and of the friendship that helps her to survive."
*Saturday, Feb. 27th - Stake Relief Society Humanitarian Activity @ 9:30AM @ the stake center. Before then, please begin bringing fleece pieces (size 72" x 60") to Relief Society. We will be cutting/tying fleece blankets for be given to Primary Children's Medical Center as they are in need of many blankets. We will keep the fleece pieces you bring in the closet until the day of the activity. Light breakfast will be served.

Do you have the Basic Storage Items? Grains, Legumes, Powdered Milk, Cooking Oil, Sugar or Honey, Salt. . . .Now you have your Basic Storage you need to: “USE IT OR LOSE IT”
Using your food storage - recipe for the month:
WHOLE WHEAT RAISIN NUT MUFFINS
2 cups whole wheat flour ½ cup chopped nuts
¾ cup brown sugar, packed ½ cup raisins
½ cup nonfat dry milk powder 1 egg
1 ½ tsp baking powder ¼ cup oil
1 tsp soda 1 cup plus 2 Tb Cold Water
¾ tsp salt
Mix together flour, brown sugar, nonfat dry milk, baking powder, soda and salt. Stir in nuts and raisins. Beat egg with a fork and stir in oil and water. Add to flour mixture. Mix just enough to combine and ingredients are moistened. (Do not over mix) Spoon into well greased or paper lined muffin tins. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes. Makes 12-18 muffins.
